Troubleshooting

See below for a list of troubleshooting topics. If you are still unable to resolve your issue, please visit the "How To" section or click here to submit a support ticket.



  1. Press and hold the “reset” button on the back of the StockRocket. This will open the menu.
  2. Once the menu is open, tap the reset button to change the selector to option 2.
  3. Press and hold the reset button to clear and reset your device’s WiFi.
  4. Power the device off using the power switch, and turn it back on.

If you are unable to connect or stay connected, try disabling your phone's mobile data while trying to connect. Once connected to your device, turn mobile data back on.

  • (this probably implies the device is successfully connected to the wifi network)
  • Make sure your wifi network is connected to the internet
  • Make sure the network does not have a captive portal by registering the MAC address with your internet provider.

Turn off mobile data on your phone, attempt the connection again. Once you are connected, you may turn your mobile data back on.

Make sure that your WiFi is providing a 2.4ghz network. IoT devices will not work on a 5ghz network.

  • Make sure network id and password are correct - try connecting with another device
  • Make sure network is 2.4ghz
  • Make sure network does not have captive portal
  • If your WiFi network password has special characters, try changing the password to one that does not contain special characters.

CONTENT

  1. Power off your device
  2. Point the rocket to the right (3:00 Position)
  3. Power on your device.
  4. Avoid bumping your device while in use.

Restart the device using the power switch on the back.

Your portfolio does not contain any stocks. Login at app.stockrocket.us, and start entering your positions.

  • Find the device on user portal.
  • Open advanced settings
  • Adjust contrast

  4. Also make sure it’s powered on - is plugged in - power switch is set to ON
  • Double check the spelling
  • Try adding it with the abbreviated name, or the full name.
  • Note that only crypto and US stocks are currently supported.
  • Create a support ticket to request the stock/crypto to be added.
  • Click "Forgot your password?"
  • Try logging in with your Facebook or Google account.

Attempt to sign in with your email address, ignoring the "sign in with Google / Facebook" Option.

  2. Create account with username and password or sign in with Google / Facebook

Contact Support

Contact Support to create a new account with the same device.

  • Calibrate your rocket by powering off the device, pointing the rocket to the 3:00 position, and powering it back on
  • Make better investments.
